Rotella Golf Course Haverstraw, New York Final Results NASSAU WINS TEAM TITLE; SUFFOLK'S OWAD MEDALIST Suffolk's Andrew Owad tied Rockland Colby Lewis with a second round score of 79,  However, Owad's total of 157 was three strokes ahead of Lewis in the overall individaul standings and gave the Suffolk standout Medalist honors for the 2012 Region XV Golf Championship Tournament.  Owad, four other golfers, and the Nassau team earned a trip to the NJCAA National Golf Championship Tournament in June. All the action will be at the Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, New York from June 4-8. Lewis fell into a three-way tie for second place along with Suffolk's Darren McCormick and Nassau's Corey Huberty.  All three scored a two-day total of 160.  Nassau shot a four-score best total of 655, and Suffolk netted a 670.  Defending champion Rockland finished third with a 689.  In all 10 golfers earned All-Region status. Sulfolk CC teammates Darren McCormick and Andrew Owad both finished with a 78 after Thursday's first round of the 2012 Region XV JUCO Golf Tournament at the Phillip J. Rotella Memorial Golf Course in Haverstraw.  Swirling winds kept most scores high above the par-72 course.  Rockland's Colby Lewis is tied for third place with Sal LaRocca (Dutchess) after shooting an 81.  Lewis, a Monroe-Woodbury graduate was last year's medalist,  Westchester's Anthony Siguil is four shots behind the leader with an 82.
