Two Region XV basketball players have been awarded player of the year honors by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York, Inc.,.

Nick Carter, a Sophmore guard for Suffolk County Community College - Seldon, was named Men's Junior College Player of the Year.

Fantasia Goodwin of Monroe College (Bronx), is the BCANY's women's JUCO player of the year. Goodwin lead the Mustangs to Monroe College's first NJCAA Division III Women's Bastball National Championship.
