Orange Community College Baseball Team is the Region XV 2006 Division II Baseball Champions. The Colts won the Region Tournament over the weekend, defeating Runner-up Ulster County Community College 9-6 in the "if necessary" game.

The winning pitcher was Josh Casper. Tournament MVP, Rick Stewart recorded a three inning save. The key hit in the game was a two out bases loaded double by Orange OF Derek Blume. Blume, Stewart, 3B Rob Pagan and SS Dan Mende each had three hits for the Colts in the Championship game.

Orange CC advances to the Northeast District Playoff this weekend in New Jersey. They play the Region 19 winner, Brookdale CC.

Rick Stewart of Orange CC was named the tournament most valuable player.

Chris Head of Ulster CCC was named the 2006 Region XV DII Player of the Year.

Orange CC coach, Wayne Smith, is the 2006 Region XV DII Coach of the Year.
