| REGION 15 2007 SOFTBALL PLAYOFF BRACKETS SET |
The 2007 Region 15 Softball playoff brackets have been set to determine the team that will represent the region at the NJCAA Division III National Championships in Rochester, Minnesota May 17-19.
Queensborough C.C. led by 2007 Region 15 Coach of the Year Pete Marchitello finished first in the region to earn a bye in the first round along with 2nd seed Suffolk CC Selden. In the play-in rounds held on Tuesday May 1, third seed Monroe defeated Suffolk CC Grant 12- 4 and fourth seed Westchester was upset by fifth seed Nassau 14-4.
The tournament moves to host Westchester CC on Friday and Saturday May 4 and 5. See the schedule below for times and matchups:

Game 1 #3 Monroe College 12 # 6 Suffolk Grant 4
Game 2 #5 Nassau CC 14 #4 Westchester 4
Friday May 4 at Westchester CC
Game 3 #1 Queensborough vs #5 Nassau 1 pm Field A
Game 4 #2 Suffolk Selden vs # 3 Monroe 1 pm Field B
Game 5 Winner of Game 3 vs winner of Game 4 3 pm Field A
Game 6 Loser of Game 3 vs loser of Game 4 3 pm Field B (loser eliminated)
Saturday May 5 at Westchester CC on Field A
Game 7 Loser of Game 5 vs winner of Game 6 10 am (loser eliminated)
Game 8 Winner of Game 5 vs winner of Game 7 12 N
Game 9 If necessary 2 pm
